The mission of Family Promise of Genesee County is to engage community and faith based organizations in ending homelessness one family at a time. Family Promise keeps families together during a housing crisis, by working with a network of churches and houses of worship. Family Promise of Genesee County is a shelter serving families facing a housing crisis. We are a local affiliate of a national organization. Nationally, Family Promise began in 1986. Locally, they serve families since 2014. Our focus is working with the families to help them transition from a temporary housing crisis into a sustainable living situation.
